Overview

BeatGrid is the GrandMA3 beat machine. It plays your sequences back live in a loop. Assign up to 25 sequences across 5 playback rows with different triggers, and build beat grids in simple or complicated rhythms. The playback speed is linked to your selected Speed Master, so it always stays in time.

BeatGrid runs on its own Layout. On first launch it creates a BeatGrid Layout, which you assign into any LayoutView (your busking view) to use as your control surface. The surface is split into two grids: the sequence grid (Sequence Selection) on the left and the beat grid (Beat Selection) on the right, surrounded by the transport and grid controls.

Sequence Selection

In the sequence grid (left) you select which rows trigger which sequence on the beats.

Which sequences you want, and what triggers they have, can be set in the Settings.

Visibility of the name, playback bar, icons and trigger name can be toggled in the Settings.
